Stories on Organic Objects

I once wrote a fairytale on an eggshell. More recently I wrote a very short short on a tiny pumpkin as part of a Halloween decorating project where I work. The tale goes:

Ghosts howled as the wind rattled the leaves. Bones clanked as the skeletons assembled for the dance. The cat walked between the walls. Finally the guests arrived and found that there was no way out.

When you're writing with a sharpie on a pumpkin, it does limit the vocabulary. Also I was composing as decorating.

Should you be looking for a way out of a writing block, try freestyling a short story on an organic object. But beware that pumpkins, unlike eggshells, will eventually need to be composted
