My copy of Zero Gravity, a new anthology of deep space adventure, arrived tonight and it looks wonderful. While the amazing cover would work for any of the stories, I found myself thinking: "Yep, that's probably Zach's hunter, hanging out there in space."
See, Zach was chasing space pirates when an attack on his ship left him hanging dead in space. Then a Junker, a gal making her living by salvaging lost ships, drops a towline on his hull. Can they make it back to the station before his air runs out or the pirates attack again? Maybe. Got to read the story to find out.
The idea of the Junkers, a group of people making a sparse living by picking up old satellites and other space debris, has been knocking around in the back of my head for years. It's nice that the first story about the Junkers found a very appropriate home here.
Zero Gravity contains a number of exciting tales edited by Alva J. Roberts. If you like deep space adventures, you'll enjoy this collection from Pill Hill.
