The monsters we love

At the Wizards' version of the Algonquin Round Table, the discussion turned to favorite monsters: the kind that you love to find complicating your adventures.

I have a sneaking fondness for kobolds, pretty much the first annoying critter that any adventurer runs into underground during your basic dungeon crawl. But sometimes you need to send your adventurers out into the wild woods and one of the best critters that I've encountered there was an invention of my friend Nathan Crowder: the arboreal kraken.

That's the nice thing about the Forgotten Realms and 4E D&D, there's always room for one more nasty creature.
